Fair news 2010

The annual watch and jewellery shows were held in Geneva in January and in Basel in March. Once again, numerous interesting new designs were presented to the public.

The Geneva watch salon and Baselworld have shown that retro design is back in fashion. The 1950s and 60s, in particular, are experiencing a renaissance. Watches are again becoming smaller and more feminine, according to the motto: “mainstream rather than offroad”.

Something else that we noticed at this year’s fairs is that the industry again appears innovative and gratifyingly optimistic, and has regained its dynamic spirit.
