The Beyer Watch

We have synchronised the Beyer Watch for the Internet with a NIST atomic clock. Delays in Internet transmission may result in minimal deviations in accuracy.

Highlights

The collection of the Beyer Clock and Watch Museum comprises over 500 horological instruments dating from 1400 BC right up to the present day. We have selected 12 highlights from the museum and would like to present them to you here in more detail. The timepieces date from different eras. We begin with a sundial, which was made around 1510 in southern Germany. The last piece in the series of highlights was created by Rolex in 1950. This watch was worn by Sir Edmund Hillary during the historic first ascent of Mount Everest in 1953. We would be delighted to show you many more highlights in the course of a visit to our museum.
