Completely closed and painted iron case with four applied fire-gilt dials. In the centre twice 1'2 hours with Roman and below 1-'24 hours in Arabic numerals. Large iron hand for the hours. In the inner circle, iron minutes-hand above the partition with 1-4 in Roman and 1-60 in Arabic numerals. On the left, auxiliary dial with segmented cutout for the regency ofthe day and, on the right, I'2-hour dial for the alarm with small iron indicator. An additional diallocated above in the altar-shaped crowning which indicates the age ofthe moon including a cut-out for the moon-phase. Right on top, an additional pivoting moon which indicates physically the moon cycle and, above the number scale, again the age of the moon.
The very compact movement is made completely ofiron and features only two winding squares far four separate winding mechanisms: Hour strike, quarter strike, alarm and gear train, each with a separate fire-gilt weight. Each winding square can be separately wound with the help of a sliding pinion which connects with the corresponding ratchet wheel. Three superimposed beils in the bell-loft. "Hook" escapement with short pendulum at the back. The escapewheel in brass indicates a later reconstruction.
