The Beyer Watch

The design of this watch emulates the giant timepiece that hangs outside the Beyer shop. It has served as a trademark for decades, and can be seen from a long way off on the Bahnhofstrasse.

Comprehensive information in six languages

05/27/2016

The Beyer Clock and Watch Museum tells the story of time measurement from 1400 BC to the present day in six different languages. Nine iPads are available to visitors, offering information about most of the clocks and watches in German, English, Chinese, Russian, Spanish and French. Three-quarters of our visitors are from abroad. In addition to the informative iPads, our multilingual guides are pleased to provide guests with a personal tour in a number of languages.

Besides the fascinating information about the items on display, you can also watch some video clips about our extremely rare automata. These are only seldom put into operation due to their in part extremely fragile mechanism.
