The Beyer Watch

The design of this watch emulates the giant timepiece that hangs outside the Beyer shop. It has served as a trademark for decades, and can be seen from a long way off on the Bahnhofstrasse.

Patek Philippe Watch Art Grand Exhibition in London

06/06/2015

In beautiful weather, we spent a weekend in London together with a group of clients. The programme started with a visit to the “Patek Philippe Watch Art Grand Exhibition” at the Saatchi Gallery. This temporary exhibition showcased rare exhibits from five centuries of watch-making history. However, the Geneva-based manufacturer’s modern methods of producing timepieces were also examined in detail. After our guests had spent the afternoon as they wished, Swiss star chef Anton Mosimann personally welcomed them to his gourmet restaurant and allowed them to sample his culinary skills.

The Sunday began with a guided tour of London, accompanied by all kinds of interesting information about the city’s history. This took place in a real London Routemaster double-decker bus, which then took the group to Greenwich, to the Royal Observatory. The guided tour through the “Harrison Exhibition – The Longitude Problem” was carried out in an exemplary fashion and the opportunity to view rare precious pieces in the workshop of museum curator Rory McEvoy was absolutely fascinating. After lunch at the Trafalgar Tavern, the day was brought to a close with a leisurely cruise on the Thames on board the “MV Edwardian”, during which champagne and scones were served.
