Breitling Super Constellation
Trip on board the nostalgic Breitling Super Constellation
We had the opportunity of inviting our Breitling customers to enjoy an unforgettable round trip on board the nostalgic Breitling Super Constellation. This legendary propeller-driven aircraft had a decisive influence on civilian passenger transport in the 1950s and earned itself the nickname, “Queen of the Atlantic”. These days, there is only one Super Constellation left worldwide that is licensed to transport passengers, thanks entirely to the generous support of Breitling. The exciting afternoon commenced with lunch under the wings of the former Russian passenger aircraft, the Ilyushin 14, in the Runway34 restaurant. Subsequently, the guests made their way to the runway, where simply boarding the Super Constellation triggered a wave of nostalgia. The round trip at a low altitude was an exhilarating experience for everyone on board. The route took passengers over a number of lakes to Central Switzerland and back again – Lake Zurich, Lake Zug, Lake Lucerne, and back via Lake Sihl, Lake Zurich and Lake Greifen. The memorable day was rounded off with a tour of the airport.
