Trip to IWC
Trip to IWC, Schaffhausen
At the end of November, we travelled with a small group of IWC watch enthusiasts to Schaffhausen. After a short information film about IWC, we were taken on a guided tour of the workshop. Here we had the opportunity to observe the watchmakers at work and thus gained a deeper insight into how top-quality watches are produced. We saw just how many pieces are needed for each individual timepiece, and how these are meticulously crafted by hand and later carefully assembled with a great deal of dexterity. Following the tour, we were treated to an excellent lunch in the Schlössli Wörth restaurant, situated directly next to the Rheinfall waterfall. This highly enjoyable day was rounded off with a tour of the waterfall, including a boat trip.
