The Beyer Watch

We have synchronised the Beyer Watch for the Internet with a NIST atomic clock. Delays in Internet transmission may result in minimal deviations in accuracy.

Our museum is closing for four months due to renovation

The basement of our building is undergoing renovation, which will produce considerable dust emissions. As a result, the Beyer Clock and Watch Museum will remain closed from 17 May until mid-October 2012. The last opening day before it closes its doors for four months is Wednesday, 16 May 2012. On this day, the museum is open between 10.00am and 4.00pm. On 14, 15 & 16 May, admission is free.

Some of our museum exhibits have already been sent to their "summer retreat" in French-speaking Switzerland ‒ to Neuchâtel, La Chaux-de-Fonds and Le Locle ‒ where they are enriching the exhibitions on the famous Jaquet-Droz watchmaking dynasty. You can find more information about these exhibitions here.

The following clock and watch museums in the region are well worth a visit:
Kellenberger Clock and Watch Collection, Kirchplatz 14, 8400 Winterthur
IWC Museum, Schaffhausen, Baumgartenstrasse 15, 8201 Schaffhausen

We look forward to welcoming you again to the Beyer Clock and Watch Museum, at Bahnhofstrasse 31 in Zurich, in October 2012.
