The famous Breitling Super Constellation – one of the last three flightworthy “Super Connies” in the world – can take to the air again. Breitling is supporting this legendary propeller aircraft with a considerable sum of money. Last year, the watch company presented it with a cheque to the value of CHF 200,000. Furthermore, Breitling has decided to launch a limited edition of its celebrated Navitimer aviation chronograph, the sale of which will generate a further CHF 200,000 for the Super Constellation Flyers Association.

For aviation fans, the Lockheed L-1049 Super Constellation is one of the most fascinating symbols of the conquest of the skies. This magnificent propeller-driven, long-haul aircraft, with its four ultra-powerful turbo-compound motors, dominated civil aviation in the 1950s, earning itself the title of “Queen of the Atlantic”. By purchasing a limited-edition Breitling Navitimer Super Constellation, you, too, will be supporting the Super Connie with a donation of CHF 500. The dial of this illustrious timepiece – issued in a limited run of 1,049 pieces in tribute to the Lockheed L-1049 – bears the inscription, “Breitling Super Constellation”, together with the golden “B” logo from the 1950s.
