The Beyer Watch

The design of this watch emulates the giant timepiece that hangs outside the Beyer shop. It has served as a trademark for decades, and can be seen from a long way off on the Bahnhofstrasse.

Frères Rochat

09/07/2015

Every year, the Frères Rochat watchmakers create a handful of exclusive watches featuring songbird automata. We are delighted to be the only representative in Switzerland to be commissioned to sell this unique brand. We would be pleased to show you these rare pieces from Frères Rochat in our shop.

In the first half of the 19th century, Frères Rochat conceived the singing birds based on some of the Watch Industry’s most complex Grand Complication movements ever manufactured.Today, Frères Rochat company, based in Le Brassus, with its master watchmakers and restoration craftsmen is once again taking up a secular tradition and successfully accepting the ambitious challenge of reinventing these extremely complicated automated movements.

These objects of extreme rarity, which only Frères Rochat is capable of producing to such a level of sophistication and complexity, continue to arouse real enthusiasm among the professionals in luxury watchmaking. Each performance executed by one of Frères Rochat automata creates a feeling of discovery, emotion and admiration, which only an exceptional and totally unexpected article can generate. The double wow effect, first the perfectly natural movement of the bird, and then its song, both reproduced entirely mechanically, are proof of the exploit’s success.
