The Beyer Watch

The design of this watch emulates the giant timepiece that hangs outside the Beyer shop. It has served as a trademark for decades, and can be seen from a long way off on the Bahnhofstrasse.

IWC TAKES THE INGENIEUR BACK TO ITS ROOTS

10/03/2017

In the early 1970s, a diver’s helmet provided the inspiration for a distinctly modernist, technical approach: instead of trying to conceal the screws, the watch designers left them plain for all to see on the bezel. The eye-catching design stood for masculine values, such as ruggedness, sportiness and a fascination for technology, and has influenced the appearance of Ingenieur watches to this day.

The new collection is very much inspired by these early Ingenieur models, and thus takes the watch family back to its roots. The influence is clear to see in the simple round case, as well as in the dial with its striking hands and indices with luminescent elements. We stock many of the new Ingenieur models in our shop. Here you can find a large selection of the new Ingenieur Automatic and the Ingenieur Chronograph.
