The Beyer Watch

The design of this watch emulates the giant timepiece that hangs outside the Beyer shop. It has served as a trademark for decades, and can be seen from a long way off on the Bahnhofstrasse.

IWC TAKES THE INGENIEUR BACK TO ITS ROOTS

12/14/2017

Just arrived: The titanium special edition Ingenieur Chronograph Sport Edition “50th Anniversary of Mercedes-AMG”. The watch is reminiscent of the first Ingenieur models from the 1950s. It has a distinctive vintage look with its simple, round case and a dial featuring striking hands and indices with luminescent elements. The silver-plated dial adds an eye-catching highlight to the overall design, which is further accentuated by the red hands and Arabic numerals. The timepiece has a flyback function and is limited to 250 watches.

The new collection is very much inspired by the early Ingenieur models, and thus takes the watch family back to its roots. The influence is clear to see in the simple round case, as well as in the dial with its striking hands and indices with luminescent elements. The eye-catching design stands for masculine values, such as ruggedness, sportiness and a fascination for technology, and has influenced the appearance of Ingenieur watches to this day.
