Savonette pocket watch Patek Philippe, Gübelin, Luzerner Schützenuhr for Lucerne shooting contest, Geneva, around 1979
The Beyer Clock and Watch Museum is presenting last year’s acquisitions in a special exhibition. Numerous timepieces were purchased and complement our existing collection perfectly. For example, a camera in the form of a wristwatch, some pocket watches engraved with a Beyer signature, and a bracelet jewellery watch. The ornately decorated table clock in Meissner porcelain with two separate candlesticks no doubt adorned an elegant sitting room back in the 19th century.
We cordially invite you to come and admire our latest acquisitions in our museum. The Beyer Clock and Watch Museum is among Zurich’s top attractions and also one of the most important private collections in the world that is open to the public. Its outstanding collection is continually being expanded – on the one hand by means of purchases, and on the other, thanks to generous gifts and bequeaths.
