SIHH - Latest creations now online
Besides a few spectacular innovations and a great deal of glamour , the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie in Geneva (SIHH) also provides an initial benchmark for the watch industry. This year, it has revealed itself as being particularly customer friendly. Instead of presenting new product lines, many brands have focused on the ongoing honing of their DNA by optimising existing collections – often by means of favourably priced models made from stainless steel or in bicolour variants. Complications such as the moon phase display are also on the increase, especially with ladies’ watches. Incidentally, these have become more discrete and with their feminine appearance and intermediate sizes clearly distinguish themselves from the men’s models.
We were particularly delighted with the latest creations from Jaeger-LeCoultre: the brand is celebrating the 85th year of its classic “Reverso” watch with, among other things, an attractive anniversary model. IWC is launching for the first time a pilot's watch for ladies. A. Lange & Söhne has far exceeded our expectations with its measures to modernise its complications. Cartier is enchanting its female clientele with its new “Hypnose” model, while Baume & Mercier has launched its popular “Promesse” on the market in mini-format.
