Swiss Skills 2016
Every year, all second-year retail apprentices take part in a nationwide competition to put their vocational skills to the test. In the first round, the best in each category is determined. In this year’s Swiss Skills competition, Beyer’s Elijah Paratte was among these category winners, after taking part in the regional qualifications on Friday, 17 June. The jury chose one of nine watches, and then the contestants had to do their best to sell it to a test client. Elijah Paratte did not have an easy job, as the so-called "client" kept breaking off his polished sales conversation! Elijah ended up in the very good 5th place out of a total of 46 participants. Unfortunately, he just missed qualifying for the Swiss Championships by one place – but we are nevertheless extremely proud of him!
