The Beyer Watch

The design of this watch emulates the giant timepiece that hangs outside the Beyer shop. It has served as a trademark for decades, and can be seen from a long way off on the Bahnhofstrasse.

Timepieces from the Beyer Museum on show in Venice

08/20/2014

In its exhibition, “Art or Sound“, the Fondazione Prada in Venice explores the relationship between art and sound in over 180 artefacts. It looks at how, since the 16th century, artists have responded to the world of music and how musicians have made instruments that are not just used to create sound. This fascinating exhibition is on show at the Palazzo Ca' Corner della Regina in Venice until 3 November and is well worth a visit.

The Beyer Clock and Watch Museum has also contributed to this spectacular exhibition by loaning the three clocks depicted on the left. These melodious timepieces can be admired in Venice until the exhibition closes, after which they will return to their permanent place in our Museum.
