Watchmakers
The sale of a clock or watch is just the beginning of a relationship with a customer that often continues for many years.
A watch is exposed to all manner of stresses and strains day in, day out, and may therefore need adjusting sooner than expected. It should also be brought in regularly for maintenance. We offer our customers a first-class after-sales service, which is carried out in our own in-house watchmaker´s workshop.
Two watchmakers work in the main shop, accepting timepieces for repair and attending to matters that can be dealt with on the spot. More complex or time-consuming jobs, as well as special customised orders, are passed on to Beyer´s workshops, where eight watchmakers and three goldsmiths are employed. It is gratifying to report that the watchmaker´s trade is regaining interest among young people, with the result that we are now able to train one or possibly two apprentices at any given time.
