Aerowatch – Milan Collection

For the first time in its history, the family-owned watch manufacturer Aerowatch has created a watch in an industrial design with an integrated metal bracelet. Aerowatch has always been committed to the values of Swiss watchmaking. The new ‘MILAN’ collection employs stylistic elements to underscore in unmistakable fashion the company’s roots in the fairytale Jura region with its mighty fir trees. It is also home to the third-largest bird of prey, the red kite, which lends its German and French name – Milan – to the collection.

The MILAN by Aerowatch is manufactured in stainless steel and presents a discreetly sporty look that is accentuated by the lugs that form a unit with the case. The serrated bezel rim and the protected crown flow unobtrusively into the harmonious overall appearance and underscore the clean lines. The MILAN showcases an elegantly sporty look in the version with a royal-blue leather-rubber strap that matches the dial in the same colour.

On closer inspection it is obvious that nothing about the watch is left to chance, but even the tiniest detail reflects the Aerowatch philosophy; perfection and attention to detail are clearly held in high regard. Particularly worthy of attention is the sophisticated implementation of the emblematic fir-tree motif on both dial and second hand. The graphical fir-tree pattern creates a depth of field and transforms the dial into an idyllic coniferous forest, tempting you to take a mental stroll through the vastness of the Jura mountains.

With the stylish MILAN, Aerowatch launches the first of a range of watches with integrated bracelets at an affordable price. The men’s collection features a decorated Selitta automatic movement that can be admired through the sapphire glass case back.

The success story of the two ‘MILAN’ partners

From its beginnings in 1910, Aerowatch was a leader in the manufacture of pocket watches and was held in high regard around the world. This trend held steady until 2005, when father Denis Bolzli and his children Adeline, Fred-Eric and Jean-Sébastien enhanced the product range with the first Aerowatch wristwatch collection. This step brought new momentum and the iconic 1942 collection set another milestone in the Aerowatch success story. Beyer Uhren & Juwelen on Bahnhofstrasse in Zurich was the first customer to place its confidence in Aerowatch and have its own timepieces made by the Jura-based manufacturer. In tribute to this valuable 17-year collaboration built on trust and mutual respect, Aerowatch has created the MILAN men’s watch. The inspiration behind this new creation came from none other than René Beyer. It is the first time that Beyer has offered a watch from AEROWATCH at his specialist retail store. In naming the collection ‘MILAN’, Aerowatch makes reference to the red kite’s habitat and highlights the bond between two partners who, like the kite, are ever alert to their surroundings and have a keen awareness of their environment.

Today, Aerowatch is represented in 45 countries and is on sale at 130 watch retailers in Switzerland.
