Late Night at Zurich’s Museums

09/01/2018

Once again it proved to be a huge success: on 1 September 2018 between 7.00pm and 2.00am, Zurich’s museums welcomed night owls from both Zurich and all over the world. The Beyer Watch and Clock Museum was one of 48 museums participating in this legendary event. In the course of special guided tours on particular themes and two reading sessions, visitors were given an insight into the history of time measurement. The ambience was fantastic. Just under 500 people visited our museum during the Late Night’s event. Visitors queued in front of the shop until 1.30 in the morning. All our guests were given a voucher for a glass of prosecco or a beverage of their choice at the Café Al Leone.

We are particularly delighted to attract a broad and young public with this event. Besides foreign guests, many Zurich residents took the opportunity to have a look round their local museums. And the event is a resounding success: over 15,000 persons participated in this year’s Late Night at Zurich’s Museums.
