SIHH watch fair in Geneva
The Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) in Geneva gives a good initial indication of the latest trends in the watch industry. Despite the current monetary and political instability, the general mood was positive. The watch brands have improved their existing models and classic lines and are also presenting some beautiful new designs.
Many of IWC’s timepieces now run at 4 hertz instead of 3, the dials of A. Lange & Söhne’s Saxonia family further enhance the watches’ intrinsic elegance, and Baume & Mercier has relaunched its Classima with a contemporary collection. Jaeger-LeCoultre has brought out its Master Calendar from outer space, sporting a dial sliced from a single block of meteorite, and Cartier is presenting a new line, the Clé de Cartier, which already promises to be an absolute classic.
