A NEW LOOK FOR THE ICONIC CLASSIMA
The Classima is the round watch with perfect proportions that is so delightful to wear that it becomes a second skin. It is a classic that has been perennially fashionable since 2004, and Baume & Mercier is delighted to reveal trendy new looks for it each year. Innovative materials are combined to create contrast, while various fresh colors offer a creative touch. The Baume & Mercier Design Studio plays with the composition, experimenting and making special variations on the Classima collection each year. The Classima is back in 2022 with four new self-winding watches for men and women, to mix or match. Round without being focused on shape, modern yet original, elegant yet casual: with the Classima, it’s all about enjoying yourself. The Classima, the ideal first Swiss timepiece for watch newcomers.
CLASSIMA - M0A10695
The first model evokes the desert with a slate sun satin dial and sand-colored flange which coordinates with the hue of the solid canvas strap. Rhodium-plated leaf hands delicately sweep along the enchanting undertones of the slate, pointing to the white Roman numerals and indexes which adorn the round dial. A date aperture appears at 3 o’clock. For an aesthetic touch, the seconds hand is beige, the dominating color of this model.

The second model makes an expedition into a more verdant land. The sapphire crystal reveals a warm silver sun satin dial, with a green flange that emphasizes the perfect roundness of this adventurous Classima. Black Roman numerals and indexes are indicated by black leaf hour and minute hands. The seconds hand is green, like a camouflage for this setting. The interchangeable green canvas strap provides casual character, but the timepiece remains a smart, understated, contemporary watch.

For Him, the City look goes into XL format, with a polished 42 mm steel case. It features a large burgundy sun satin dial with a blue flange which brings the minute track a more pronounced depth. In turn, it emphasizes the perfectly balanced circle. The three rhodium-plated leaf hands delicately point to the white Roman numerals and indexes. An elegant date aperture is unveiled at 3 o’clock. The self-winding movement, which offers a 38-hour power reserve, is nestled within the case. Its solid back offers room for the creativity of a personalized engraving. A straight spring-bar system makes it possible to change the strap easily, on a whim.
5270P - GRAND COMPLICATIONS
MANUAL WINDING
Reference 5270, launched in 2011, is heir to several generations of Patek Philippe perpetual calendar chronographs. The Manufacture reinterprets this timepiece in a model featuring an iconic yet original style. The radiance of platinum — the most precious metal of all yet also the hardest to work with — magnifies the timeless design of the case, with its concave bezel, its elegant two-tier lugs and its correction push-pieces that are satin-brushed on the flanks and polished on top.
The perpetual calendar displays are harmoniously arranged, with the date indicated by a hand and a moon phase at 6 o’clock, as well as a twin day/month aperture at 12 o’clock, complemented by two round apertures for the day/night indication and the leap-year cycle. Caliber CH 29-535 PS Q is distinguished by its traditional architecture, combined with six patented innovations relating to the chronograph, as well as by its exceptionally thin calendar mechanism.
THE RIVIERA COLLECTION
First released in 1973 and reinterpreted last year, the Riviera watch expresses the Maison’s expertise in design and use of materials. A Baume & Mercier lifestyle icon, this timepiece with pure, slender lines and an immediately recognizable twelve-sided bezel comes into its full maturity. 2022 herald a 42 mm men’s version (Baumatic and self-winding), as well as 33 mm (self-winding) and 36 mm (self-winding and quartz) women’s versions... And the Riviera has not had its last word. It’s about time for enjoyment and joie de vivre.
With almost fifty years behind it, the Riviera is no newcomer. Inspired by the carefree lifestyle of the French Riviera, this is the watch of casual elegance, symbolizing an easygoing view of refined watchmaking. It was first developed in 1973 and has adapted to every era, year after year, while staying true to its special style. Its steel adornments and strong shape have always represented a form of freedom, an offbeat elegance. And now it represents renewal. In 2021, Baume & Mercier presented the fifth-generation Riviera, which continues to uphold the Maison’s expertise, capturing the signs of our modern times to better revisit them. This year does not mark a revolution, but rather a gentle-yet-assertive evolution, continuing to bring distinctive Baume & Mercier expertise to the design through its elaborate shapes and bold statement.

The legacy of athletic elegance
A steel case with a universal diameter of 42 mm, a dodecagonal bezel with twelve sides and four screws, a Baumatic movement, and an interchangeable steel strap. The original design is still there, but so is the desire to adapt to our times. The latest addition to the family – the new men’s version of the Riviera – still carries in its genes the silhouette and evocative power of the original 1973 model. It has the shape and spirit of its forbearer. The 2022 version of the Riviera Baumatic is available in a version with a smoky gray sapphire dial and an integrated steel strap. The decoration introduced in 2021 has become the distinctive mark of these models, each of which is equipped with a Baumatic manufacture movement. Its transparency offers a view of the gear trains of the Baumatic caliber and its tried-and-true performance: a five-day power reserve, a daily precision of -4 s / +6 s, and a magnetic resistance of 1500 Gauss, which provides solid protection against magnetic fields. With a power reserve of 120 hours, this new Riviera Baumatic plays in the major leagues. It may be forgotten on a night table from a Thursday evening to a Tuesday morning and still be on time and full of energy. Of course, its scratch-proof sapphire crystal has anti-glare coating on both sides, while its octagonal crown asserts a Phi logo engraving in relief. Not only technically flawless, it seeks to address the expectations of its future owners, seeking excellence, style, comfort and overall cohesion. It embodies the Maison’s vision of men’s watchmaking.

Athletic and elegant!
More than any other, the Riviera collection demonstrates the expertise of Baume & Mercier design in the field of watches with athletic shapes. Its uncompromisingly creative approach and recreational aspirations – which are the essence of the Maison’s style – are still in the minds of those who love this model. And there are a lot of those. The Riviera is back again this year in subtly grayish hues, with a variation on the “Swiss-made” 42 mm automatic Riviera with a steel case and a slate dial on an interchangeable steel or gray rubber strap. The sand-blasted titanium bezel, fastened to the case with four functional screws, brings this contemporary piece a stealthy, driven look. A distinctive look reinforced by a gold-plated PVD ring, which provides luminosity in a perfect juxtaposition of the matte hue of the bezel and strap. There’s no mistaking its sporty pedigree. It is subtly softened by a dial in a beautifully lacquered “slate” hue, highlighted by tone-on-tone “wave” decorations, as well as Roman numerals and indexes in gold-plated steel. This back-and-forth play between classic style and a casual spirit is also expressed through the strap. Thanks to the reliable, robust Fast Strap interchangeability system – available for the entire collection –, it is easy to change the timepiece’s look with no need for tools. A French Riviera to wear on the wrist
The Riviera has never forgotten women. Far from it. In 2022, several versions join the women’s collection, including the “Swiss-made” self-winding “Coastline” model in a 33-mm diameter. In its steel case, this almost cheeky Riviera asserts a particularly unique design with a gradated midnight blue lacquer dial set with 63 diamonds. The diamonds portray the seaboard of the French Riviera, beckoning to an adventure from Monaco to Saint Tropez. The asymmetry introduced by this gem-setting, which could be described as topographic – an effect made possible through the combination of precious stones in seven different sizes –, is a first for the Riviera collection. Indeed, it is a first for this Maison, which continues to push back the lines of the design and bold spirit that have made it world famous. Like a sparkling summer wave, the exclusive gem-setting extends to a portion of the bezel, case and integrated steel strap. This design is unafraid to venture into the unexpected. Baume & Mercier presents two new, ultra-feminine versions of the Riviera, each in an elegant 33 mm diameter, with a “Swiss-made” self-winding movement and an interchangeable integrated steel bracelet. The first is adorned with a pink “sun satin” dial, while the second asserts a white mother-of-pearl dial. The new palette of 33 mm ladies’ Riviera watches keeps it pared down to the essential: assertive femininity, supreme style and natural flair. The polished / satin-finished strap – featuring a reliable, robust interchangeability system for use without tools – makes it possible to change looks on a whim. SELF-WINDING
In 2022, Reference 7130 set the crowning touch to the longstanding tradition of Patek Philippe World Time watches by introducing a ladies’ model. In 2022, the Manufacture reinterprets this classic by adorning it with an original, modern and elegant olive green color. The dial center pays tribute to Rare Craftsmanship skills with a finely hand-guilloched basketweave motif. Its olive green shade is picked up on the city disk on which the white-printed names stand out in an extremely legible manner.
Beating inside this refined exterior is self-winding Caliber 240 HU, an ultra-thin movement that helps keep the case extremely slim. Thanks to its city disk and its 24-hour disk (divided into day/night zones distinguished by their color and by the sun/moon symbols), this caliber simultaneously and permanently displays the time in all 24 time zones.
HAMPTON: A YEAR FILLED WITH NUANCES
Between creativity and timelessness, the Hampton collection asserts a distinctive design symbolizing renewal and hope in a tribute to the Art Deco movement. This year, Baume & Mercier unveils a new palette intermingling various materials and colors to further heighten its effects – from character to simplicity to the element of surprise – with a more technical look or exquisitely precious curves, revealing the famous rectangular case in all its glory. Time to play on shapes, bold materials and new combinations... Bringing design to the forefront.
There are no fewer than six new Hampton models, which elegantly wrap around the wrist for a retro, glamorous or minimalist look... Each watch has its own nuances, and each form will find its following. The refinement of the Hampton collection is to be appreciated without moderation.
HAMPTON MEDIUM – M0A10672
The self-winding version reveals an opaline and grained silver dial. Its riveted black ruthenium Arabic numerals and indexes offer an even more vintage character. Again, the style dives into Art Deco geometry. The black ruthenium “glaive” hands gracefully sweep along the delicate black-and-gray minute track. The sapphire back reveals refined watchmaking decorations along the movement, which offers 38 hours of autonomy. The eye is drawn to the beautiful circular-grained bridges; the sand-blasted and snailed baseplate; and the “Côtes de Genève” and snailed decorations that adorn the oscillating weight.

Through its domed sapphire crystal, the quartz version reveals a blue sun satin dial with striking contrasts. The rectangular shape, highlighted once again by the blue gradation, provides the ultimate geometric Art Deco effect. Like a spreading wave, the white minute track also reflects the iconic shape. Its shine brings an unprecedented depth to this streamlined piece. The rhodium-plated riveted numbers and indexes are elegantly indicated by “glaive” hands. The screwed back offers space for an original engraving of a loving word, quote or date.
HAMPTON LARGE – M0A10666
The first model is adorned with a self-winding movement in a larger size to accommodate the watch features that any aficionado will appreciate. The polished steel case features an opaline and grained slate dial for texture that introduces a touch of modernity to this more traditional watch face. Along the white minute track, which emphasizes the iconic rectangular shape, are riveted rhodium-plated Arabic numerals and indexes. “Glaive” hands – the distinctive signature of this collection – sweep along it. The large date aperture appears at 12 o’clock, while the second time zone and day-night indicator are both located at 6 o’clock. On the back, the sapphire crystal reveals the watchmaking decorations of the movement: circular-grained bridges, a sand-blasted and snailed baseplate, an oscillating weight with “Côtes de Genève” decorations... To the delight of watch aficionados. The movement offers a 42-hour power reserve. As an elegant finishing touch, the watch is mounted on a black alligator skin strap with square scales and tone-on-tone overstitching.

The second – medium-sized – version is equipped with a long-lasting quartz movement. It features a brown calfskin strap with trendy beige overstitching which coordinates perfectly with the polished steel case. Its rectangular shape is accentuated by a set of gray rectangles that stretch outwards as if seeking to surpass all limits. The geometric effect and Art Deco depth draw the eye along the gray minute track which runs around the perimeter of the opaline silver dial. Riveted rhodium-plated Arabic numerals and indexes appear on it, and are indicated by delicate “glaive” hands. Its screwed back allows space for the engraving of a happy memory, date or accomplishment. This is a refined watch for any occasion.
