About us

World’s oldest watch retailer

Beyer Watches & Jewellery on Bahnhofstrasse in Zurich is the oldest watch shop in the world. Founded in 1760, the family business has been run by the eighth generation since 1996. From 2003 to 2025, René Beyer was solely responsible for managing the business in collaboration with the board of directors. After his death, his sister Muriel Zahn-Beyer returned to the role of company director and chair of the board of directors.
