Making time for you since 1760
Beyer Watches & Jewellery, situated on Zurich’s Bahnhofstrasse, is the oldest watch shop in Switzerland. The family firm has been cultivating the most beautiful aspects of time since 1760. It has continually been passed down through the generations from father to son, each one a fully-trained watchmaker. Beyer Chronometrie is currently managed by René Beyer, who represents the eighth generation of the Beyer family. Our portfolio comprises 12 premier watch brands, including our attractively priced Beyer line of watches, in addition to antique and commission timepieces. We would be pleased to pamper you with exclusive jewellery from our own goldsmith’s department and from choice brands, as well as with our vintage jewellery. Our ten watchmakers and six goldsmiths are also there for our clients after they have made their purchase.
Incidentally, there are even more exclusive items to be found in the basement of our shop, for it houses one of the most important watch collections in the world. The Beyer Clock and Watch Museum brings together 300 exhibits dating from 1400 BC to the present day. Furthermore, directly next door, the Patek Philippe Boutique sends connoisseurs and lovers of high-quality watches into raptures with its fascinating product range.
Beyer Chronometrie has specialised in the sale of antique and vintage watches since 1965. Many of these rare items come with an extract from the archives of the manufacturer. Our watchmakers give each timepiece a thorough overhaul before it is handed over to its new owner. At Beyer you will also find magnificent antique watches that have been keeping time reliably for years and vintage models that are no longer produced. Each of them has a history and a soul.
We would be happy to inform you about the background and insights of our partner brand Patek Philippe and our boutique. Incidentally, the boutique is the only one of its kind in Switzerland. Thanks to our close relationship with Patek Philippe, which has developed over time, we continually receive exciting treasures. Come and discover the extraordinary masterpieces here at Bahnhofstrasse 31. Our five-member Patek Philippe team is looking forward to your visit!
