Patek Philippe novelties 2023

The "Watches & Wonders" Geneva takes place from 27.03-02.04.2023. We give you an overview of the exciting new products from our brand partners.

Patek Philippe is unveiling a wide selection of new models, ranging from a Calatrava with an original 24-hour display and a Travel Time function for the display of a second time zone, to a new haute joaillerie version of the Grandmaster Chime, and the first Annual Calendar to enter the ladies’ Aquanaut Luce collection, renowned for its modern casual chic.

6300GR - GRAND COMPLICATIONS

Patek Philippe reinterprets the design of its most complicated wristwatch by offering it for the first time in a "two-tone" version combining white gold and rose gold, along with brown opaline dials.

Among the 20 complications are five acoustic functions, including two patented world exclusives: an alarm sounding the programmed time and a date-repeater striking the date on demand.

The reversible double-sided case is distinguished by its patented swivel mechanism, enabling it to be worn with either dial visible.

6300/403G - GRAND COMPLICATIONS

Patek Philippe has created a new alliance between Haute Horlogerie and Haute Joaillerie by reinterpreting its most complicated wristwatch in a white gold version set with 118 baguette-cut emeralds (7.87 cts) and 291 baguette-cut diamonds (20.54 cts), using the “invisible setting” technique.

Among the 20 complications are five acoustic functions, including two patented world exclusives: an alarm sounding the programmed time and a date-repeater striking the date at will.

The reversible double-sided case is distinguished by its patented swivel mechanism, enabling it to be worn with either dial visible.

5316/50P - GRAND COMPLICATIONS

The Grand Complication Reference 5316 takes on a new contemporary look with a platinum case and a blue metallized sapphire crystal dial with a black-gradient rim.

Manually wound R TO 27 PS QR combines a minute-repeater, a tourbillon and a perpetual calendar with retrograde date display and moon-phase indication – five of the most sought-after complications among connoisseurs.

The original face of this new model is enhanced by a navy blue embossed calfskin strap with a fabric pattern, contrasting cream-colored stitching and a platinum fold-over clasp.

5531G - GRAND COMPLICATIONS

Patek Philippe has attired the World Time Minute Repeater Reference 5531 in white gold. The dial center is adorned with a new cloisonné Grand Feu enamel motif depicting one of the famous steamships of the Belle Époque fleet still sailing on Lake Geneva today. The result is an entirely hand-made miniature Rare Handcrafts masterpiece.

Launched in 2017, this model has established itself as the first minute-repeater that always chimes local time.

The caseband and the minute-repeater slide piece feature a hand-guilloched hobnail pattern emblematic of Patek Philippe. The skeletonized lugs ensure an unobstructed view of this guilloché work.

5178G - GRAND COMPLICATIONS

The self-winding Minute Repeater Reference 5178 is adorned with refined Rare Handcrafts showcased on the flinqué blue Grand Feu enamel dial. The white gold dial plate is finely hand-guilloched with a swirling pattern, before being coated with translucent enamel.

The two "cathedral" gongs, twice as long as their traditional counterparts, give the minute-repeater a particularly rich and deep sound.

The novelty is accompanied by two interchangeable straps – one in shiny peacock blue alligator leather; the other in shiny orange alligator leather, both secured by a white gold fold-over clasp.

CALATRAVA REF. 5224R-001

Patek Philippe is expanding its range of travel watches and complications for everyday use with a Calatrava model equipped with the Travel Time dual time zone function and distinguished by its 24-hour display.

The navy-blue dial shines by its elegance and legibility, enhanced by a double railway-track scale for the hours and minutes. The 24-hour display, with its alternating Arabic numerals and hour markers and its cabochon 5-minute markers, represents a total of 44 rose-gold appliques – polished together to obtain the same brilliance and applied individually by hand.

The Travel Time dual time zone is displayed by three syringe-shaped hands in rose gold, with a luminescent coating for the local hour hand and the minute hand and a pierced center for the home hour hand. Refined finishing touches create beautiful plays of light on the dial: a circular striated center, a circular satin-finished hour circle and a snailed small-seconds counter with a rose-gilt outline.

5905R - COMPLICATIONS

Representing a combination of two popular Patek Philippe complications, the self-winding flyback chronograph with Annual Calendar, Reference 5905, comes in a new rose gold version with a sunburst blue dial – a modern and elegant color accentuating the timeless style of this flagship model.

The patented Annual Calendar automatically takes into account 30- and 31-day months, thus requiring only one correction per year, at the end of February.

The rose gold case is distinguished by its sophisticated construction, with a concave bezel and hollowed flanks.

5924G - COMPLICATIONS

Patek Philippe is introducing the first chronograph model in its Pilot style watch line, combined with a Travel Time function and a date indication by hand coupled with local time.

This new self-winding model with its original and highly recognizable aesthetic is offered in a white gold version, Reference 5924G-001, with a sunburst blue-gray dial and a grained navy blue calfskin strap.

The dial bears applied numerals and sword-shaped hands in white gold with a luminescent coating.

6007G - CALATRAVA

Patek Philippe is expanding its Calatrava collection with three new white gold timepieces featuring a modern, graphic style.

The ebony black dials are distinguished by their rhythmic geometry, enhanced by three types of finishing. The center displays an embossed “carbon” pattern.

This dynamic design is enhanced by touches of yellow (6007G-001), red (6007G-010) or sky blue (6007G-011) on the counters and seconds hands as well as on the stitching and lining of the black calfskin straps with embossed “carbon” pattern.

At the heart of the entirely polished white gold case beats self-winding caliber 26-330 S C with date at 3 o'clock and stop seconds.

4997/200R - CALATRAVA

Patek Philippe expands its range of elegant ladies' watches with a new version of the self-winding Calatrava Reference 4997 in rose gold decked out in purple – an original and refined color that perfectly matches the warm nuances of the precious metal and the diamond-set bezel.

The dial base embossed with a concentric waves pattern is coated with more than fifty successive layers of translucent lacquer creating a fascinating depth effect. The shade of the dial is echoed by the purple calfskin strap with satinated finish and rose gold prong buckle.

The case houses the ultra-thin self-winding Caliber 240.

4962/200R - GONDOLO

The Gondolo Serata, a jewelry watch radiating unique style and timeless elegance, returns to the current Patek Philippe collection in a new, slightly larger rose gold version.

The case is set with 94 brilliant-cut spessartites (2.02 cts) arranged in a double color gradient ranging from "cognac" tones at 12 and 6 o'clock to "mandarine" tones at 9 and 3 o'clock.

The brown lacquered dial is adorned with a floral motif playing on the contrast between matt and polished finishes. The chocolate brown calfskin strap with a satinated finish echoes the dial color.

5261R - AQUANAUT

The Aquanaut Luce collection for ladies welcomes a new, practical and easy-to-use complication: the patented Annual Calendar: a complete day/date/month calendar requiring only one manual correction per year, at the end of February. The manufacture is thus enriching its offer of complicated ladies' watches with a non-gemset model.

The iconic design of the rose gold case and bezel with a rounded octagonal shape is enhanced by the contrast between polished and satin-brushed finishes. The contemporary “sporty chic" style is reinforced by the blue-gray dial and composite strap with Aquanaut pattern.

5268/200R - AQUANAUT

Patek Philippe reinterprets the self-winding Aquanaut Luce in rose gold with an elegant "taupe"-colored dial and strap – a warm shade of gray that matches the "contemporary sporty chic" style of this ladies' model.

Water-resistant to 120 m, the case features a contrast between a polished finish on the top and a satin-brushed finish on the sides. The iconic rounded octagonal bezel with polished bevels is lit up by a row of 48 diamonds.

The self-winding movement is equipped with a "stop seconds" function serving to set the time to the nearest second.

5968R - AQUANAUT

Patek Philippe revisits the sporty style of the Aquanaut chronograph in a rose gold version, paired with a sunburst brown dial featuring a black-gradient rim and matching composite strap.

The original design of the case (water-resistant to 120 m) and the bezel is highlighted by the alternating polished and satin-brushed finishes.

The self-winding flyback chronograph movement combines tradition (column wheel drive) with innovation (vertical disk clutch). Since the clutch causes almost no wear, the central chronograph seconds hand can also be used to display the seconds continuously.
